Flax Pendant

The Flax Pendant by David Trubridge is named after the New Zealand indigenous plant that is grown for its valuable fibre. There is a Maori proverb about preserving important resources: “If you cut the central stalk of the flax bush, where will the bellbird feed?” They would only take some of the outer leaves to ensure an ongoing supply. Available in 2 sizes in Natural or Caramel Stained Bamboo Plywood. The Flax as with many other David Trubridge Designs provides a dramatic shadow pattern effect on walls and ceilings. Available in several different sizes the Flax can be installed individually or for larger spaces in a cluster formation. Perfectly suited to casual, beach side, relaxed settings in both Residential and commercial applications.
