FURIN PENDANT

The Furin (which in Japanese means wind bell) is a suspension lighting system composed by ‘moving’ tubular elements. The Furin is constructed from aluminium tubes, which are covered with a coloured tissue. The tubes can be aligned in linear or in groups to a ceiling rose. The system involves the use of tubes with different lengths to create features. Available in White or Red.

Kengo Kuma was born in 1954. He completed his master’s degree at the University of Tokyo in 1979. He studied at Columbia University and established Kengo Kuma & Associates in 1990. He taught at Keio University from 2001 to 2008, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008, and in 2009, and was installed as Professor at the Graduate School of Architecture, University of Tokyo.
